Back on The Simpsons

Its been a little over a year now since I've been back on The Simpsons and its been fantastic so far!  I started back as a layout artist and took a test for storyboarding soon after I started.  The first episode I got to board was Werking Mom, XABF21 from last season, which just aired recenty.  It was a THRILL to see shots that I worked on with our TALENTED storyboard team light up on the screen.  Mike Anderson, David Silverman, Matt Schofield along with the other board artists and the amazing layout artists brought the show to life!  There was a wonderful Article in the Dispatch about this epsiode at the link above.  I'm about a aweek away from starting work on my 4th board now and I love the process!  Looking forward to getting to do more in the in the future and continuing to learn and develop in this area!  Below are stills from two of the shots I boarded in the show.

Working on Animatic

Working on revising a section in my Animatic. Had to rearrange a few shots. Working to finish up the animatic by November 10th for my trip out to L.A. Probably going to have a few late nights this week.

Working on Animatic

Working on the animatic for the animated film I am working on.  I still do not have title and refer to the film as UCF Film (Untitled Cleveland Film... Film).  These are two images from the storyboard.  Not terribly exciting right now, but had them on the desktop and thought I'd throw up here.  Excited about the bottom image though.  This is a 3D model that Mark Fitzpatrick (CCAD Instructor) created for me based on some sketches I gave him.  Great modeler.  Will be attempting to use this model in Storyboard Pro 3D.  Just imported it into the program tonight.  Will see how it ends up going!

Storyoarding Time Lapse Movie

This was a time lapse of me working on the revised board for my animated film project in one of the classrooms at CCAD.  I had been working digitally on this new board and realized that I needed to go back to paper for the initial pass.  So, planning on spending spring break working through a series of passes on my board in this fashion.  Really enjoyed it and looking forward to it!
