CCAD End of the Year Show

CCAD's student show is this afternoon at school. Some really good work produced this year.  Congrats to all the artists.

Above is the link to a promotional piece we produced about the recording session we had with our actors for the Christopher Popinkins animated holiday special. Special thanks to Eric Homan, fellow CCAD professor, for shooting the video. Hope to document our process a bit this summer and post a few more of these throughout he year.

Drawing from Warner Brothers cartoons in class today.  One of the aliens from a Marvin the Martian cartoon on the left. 

More Paper Mâché Models

In the fall of 2013, I created a 2/3 scale model of R2D2. I got the urge to continue with more robots and vehicles in that film series.  Here is (wait for it...) the beginnings of (here it comes...) an (pause for effect...) AT-AT!!! Excited about this one. Will stand about 24" tall. Not sure when I'll get back to him, but off to a good start I think.  Maybe I should have a show sometime with these models.  

Rocket Sled Paper Mâché Model

Getting into building some more paper mâché models.  Here is a futuristic rocket sled.  Need to add the paper mâché still (this is the cardboard under structure), but starting to come together.
